About
Jessica Scroggins, Chief Lamplighter
My love of storytelling began as a kid. One of my favorite things to do was watch old movies on Turner Classic Movies. This caused some tension with my siblings, who wanted nothing to do with black and white or Fred Astaire!
Early in my career, I was involved in the production of commercials for the Turner Networks (including my beloved TCM), the NBA, U.S. Army, Arby's, Coca-Cola, and Nascar. After several years in production, I transitioned into entertainment marketing and helped market over 20 films for the major film studios and independent producers. Movies I’ve worked on, including “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,” “The Polar Express,” “The Passion of the Christ,” “United 93,” “Brave,” and “To The Wonder,” grossed over $2 billion worldwide.
My love for story naturally led me into screenwriting, which taught me the fundamental elements of great story structure. My screenwriting projects have won Telly Awards and been recognized by screenwriting competitions, including the Austin Film Festival.
Today, I use my story knowledge, marketing experience, and writing skills to help executives, businesses, and authors tell compelling stories. I’ve written for Fortune 500 companies as well as solopreneurs.
Why should you hire me? Here are a few great reasons.
Wyatt, VP of FUN
I may only be 4 in human years, but I know how to add fun to any workday! My job is bringing joy and energy to the office, which I do with snuggles and zoomies. I don’t usually like meetings, but every now and then I make a cameo appearance. Beyond bringing the fun, my other main duty is alerting the staff to package deliveries. I’m really amazing at this, but sometimes I have to remember to use my inside bark.
When I’m not adding a little spunk to the workday, you can find me chasing dragonfly shadows in the backyard or looking for mud puddles.
